A Peace of My Mind Exhibit

A new exhibit opens at San Pablo this month: Lessons on the Road to Peace.

Starting September 18, John Noltner, founder of A Peace of My Mind, brings his portrait and story collection to San Pablo - St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, on display through October 12.

The project started with a 2½-year road trip across the country during the pandemic, a stretch marked by uncertainty, isolation, and division. Along the way, John sat down with hundreds of people and asked what they were learning about hope, healing, belonging, and what it means to share a common humanity.

What came out of it is a set of stories that make the case, gently, that even in hard seasons we can still find our way back to each other.

On Wednesday, September 30, John will join us for an evening reception and talk, a chance to walk through the exhibit, hear the stories behind the photos, and talk with folks from our own community.
